Origins
I grew up in Abruzzo, Italy, and started building websites for fun in my first year of high school. It was the Webmaster Era: HTML, CSS, a little JavaScript and PHP, early CMS experiments, Flash intros, animated menus. I liked being able to imagine a page and make it exist. Before I had a career plan, I already knew I wanted to keep doing that.
Work Journey
I started at @MacaroniBros as a Front-End Developer. The more interfaces I built, the more I found myself drawn to the visual and aesthetic side of things. During the Web Designer Era, my role evolved from implementing interfaces to shaping how they looked and felt.
In the UX/UI Product Design Era, I joined @Gunpowder (later acquired by @Seidor) as a Founding Designer and became Lead Designer as the company grew. I worked on research, UX, UI, accessibility, design standards, and front-end code. The role changed over time, but I never moved far from implementation.
Today
Today I work independently as a Product Designer & UX/UI Design Engineer. In the Builder Era, I can move from an unclear brief to a working interface without treating design and front-end as separate worlds.
I use AI when it saves useful time, especially while exploring directions or building early prototypes. It does not replace the product decisions, the accessibility work, or the final care in the interface.
